...for Bead Soup that is!!!
So as I mentioned here and here my partner was Nadya Parfyonova of Nally's Creations.
She sent me this fun collection:
I had such fun creating this piece from all the beautiful treasures that she sent. I have to admit the clasps and focal were not things I would normally gravitate towards - in fact that is Lori's goal - to get us to work outside the box - to stretch our creative selves!!! And I want to make it VERY clear I don't dislike these pieces in anyway shape or form - there is nothing AT ALL wrong with them, they are beautiful, very beautiful....just not my normal pickings.
It worked though, it definitely helped me to think outside the box, to try a more whimsical approach to match that adorable little froggie. Very fun! Love the colors, so rich and beautiful. I selected the silk and cord so I could get the fun movement I was looking for. Love the look and the effect. What do you think?
So now that you've viewed my piece please make sure you go and check out what Nadya made using this selection of beads and goodies that I sent her:
And of course all the other beautiful creations that have been created for this AWESOME Bead Soup!!! A total of 362 wonderful artisans participated - you don't want to miss a single one!!!

Hey Stacey, I love what you did with the little frog-and isn't he fabulous! Gorgeous colors in this necklace!!! Enjoy wearing this:)
Wonderful ! Love that little frog !
Great soup!
m.e. :)
Really cute! and i love that color!
What a wonderful necklace! You had that fantastic frog bead to work with! It look great with the fibers!
Great execution Stacey - your frog bead looks perfect in his new setting!
I think it turned out wonderful. I love that little frog. He's so cute. And the cord/ribbon with it all makes it very light and fun.
I am SO sorry for being late — today our internet provider decided to crash. My stress level is through the roof, to say the least! They’re still working on it, but it’s like dial-up.
I love the frog bead, and I like long necklaces! Well done!
I hope you’ll participate again!
Love, Lori
That a frog is super cute and I love what you did. Sometimes less is more even when it's a bead soup party where everyone wants to put their skillz on display ;o)
The frog is adorable and I love how you used it. It's fun sometimes to work outside our usual ways and come up with something new!
Isn't it fun (if a bit nerve racking) to be creating outside the box? You did the little frog proud. I am sure he is very happy in his new home.
Love how you used the cord, very imaginative piece :)
Oh that is such a FUN necklace. Great idea to incorporate some movement into the necklace using the cord. You were so lucky to get such a gorgeous focal!
What a fun focal - I like how you paired it with the red. Very nice!
This is so beatiful - I love it! Wonderful bead soup - the colors area amazing and the design is fabulous!
beautiful! what a cute little frog focal, great colors!
Love what you did with the fibers. The frog is so cute and looks great!
I just love the richness of the colors and the playfulness of the frog.
I love the necklace you have made for your handsome froggie. Lovely!
Using the silk andcord was a great way to keep the focus on that frog bead and give it movement. Love the soup you sent as well!
That is a very fun piece, and I'm glad you kept it simple, so that the gorgeous frog stands out. Love that wine cording!!!
I'm not sure I would have known what to do with that focal, but I love the garnet cording you used with it. Really makes the necklace pop!
What a cute little froggy, and a wonderful treatment for him - you did a great job, particularly since you were working outside your comfort zone!
What a great job working outside your "normal" box. That is the great part about this party. The necklace is lovely!
Love what you did with the frog. That is just the kind of bead that I "can't live without" then I have no idea what to do with it☺
Awesome design!
I think it turned out beautifully, and I love that you kept it fairly simple, and let the frog have his moment. Really lovely work!
Great job, Stacey! Love the little frog and the cord you used compliments the beads beautifully :)
Geanina.
Looks like you had fun with your frog! I do think the fiber adds to the playful feeling.
Nice, that frog is so cute and you've really made it the focus.
Stacy, It looks wonderful! Sory for a late answer - I was out in Moscow yesterday. I love the silk cord and the way you've added glass leaves! Great job!
Beautiful, and the frog is so cute!
I really like what you did, the use of fiber and the colors are fabulous! The frog is just adorable!
Absolutely lovely! Way to use that adorable frog to perfection :)
Talk about hangin' by a thread...

Your bead soup was yummy and your necklace is beautiful. Love the froggie.
What a stunning piece - and that little frog: so cute:-)
oooooh, the froggy is precious! and I agree very eclectic to use with the floral toggle but you made a fab design.
So pretty! I love the colors and the frog focal is so cool! :)
I love how it looks like the frog is climbing up the ribbon! Very pretty!
Julie & Andrea
Letting the little frog take center stage was definitely the right approach, beautiful!
I am so sorry I am so late hopping your way. My computer dug it's heels in and said Not gon'a go thaat fast.:^)
Your designs are nothing short of amazing.
Be blessed to be a blessing
The silk chord was a great choice, the piece turned out beautifully!
So, you have Fiestaware, you like to hike and get outdoors, and it looks like you have 2 sisters.
Hey, that's my life!
PS- I love your work
Cathie
I love the froggie and I love what you made with him! Your bead soup that you sent out is awesome too!
I love how you used the focal bead and I can see that silk cord is your sheet anchor as wire is mine. The colours are great!
Ambra
I love long necklaces and I'm crazy for lampwork frogs!! Gorgeous. We’re all being pushed outside our comfort zones — with amazing results!

How adorable!
love your piece and what a wonderful little frog
I love it! That little frog is adorable. Such a fun piece!
Well it would have been downright cruel to keep that adorable little frog in a box!!!! Very well done! It does feel good to stretch and it helps us grow as artists!! Well Done!! I really love the soup that you sent to your partner- though those are not the colors I would go for in beads!! I guess that I am learning to try to see differently!! LOL!!!
Thanks for visiting my blog! I know, I"m starting to forget where I've been and where I'm going! I started the blog hop right in the middle and am making my way up and down from the middle. You certainly were stretched, after having looked at some of your other creations that are more your style, I can see that! But you did a great job! Btw, I love, love your post about the "Oranges" pieces you made...all of them - fabulous!
Delicious soup, love the wine red colour and you've definitely got the movement you were looking for in the necklace - lovely.
'love the frog, very cute, indeed!
The frog is so cute! The necklace turned out great!
Hi Stacy
Great work, I love all your designs, Can't wait to see your store open again!
Cilla
Really cool! You did a super job with that lil frog.
Very nice!
First than you for visiting and for leaving kudos. Your necklace is very beautiful, looks like froggie is ready to jump and you really did create the movement.
The piece that goes with your red boots will go on Etsy later.
What a great use of your soup. You put the necklace together perfectly!! Love it!
I love your necklace! it turned out so cute! that frog focal is especially cute! and I love the use of the cord! nice job!
So cute and feminine - what a wonderful design using the frog and the cord. I would have never hit upon that. Great job!
It came out perfect. The froggy looks happy! Isn't it fun to work with things you wouldn't pick for yourself?
What a sweet frog necklace!! Just lovely!
Beautiful necklace! I like the combination of a dramatic colour and simple, sleek design. It feels like the cute frog is climbing up a branch or liana in the rainforest. Great job!
Your necklace is very cool. I like that you used the cord so that the focal is the star, but you still added some of the beads for some sparkle. Very nicely done!
wonderful necklace and such a nice fokal !!!
Grüßle
Doris
I love how beautifully you showcased the focal and clasp!!! Just lovely!
Gorgeous frog focal ...such lovely organic colors in that glass and they go delightfully with your cord choice..he does indeed look like he is going somewhere. Beautiful.
