The Big Reveal....

...for Bead Soup that is!!!

So as I mentioned here and here my partner was Nadya Parfyonova of Nally's Creations.
She sent me this fun collection:

I had such fun creating this piece from all the beautiful treasures that she sent.  I have to admit the clasps and focal were not things I would normally gravitate towards - in fact that is Lori's goal - to get us to work outside the box - to stretch our creative selves!!!  And I want to make it VERY clear I don't dislike these pieces in anyway shape or form - there is nothing AT ALL wrong with them, they are beautiful, very beautiful....just not my normal pickings.
It worked though, it definitely helped me to think outside the box, to try a more whimsical approach to match that adorable little froggie.  Very fun!  Love the colors, so rich and beautiful.  I selected the silk and cord so I could get the fun movement I was looking for.  Love the look and the effect.  What do you think?

So now that you've viewed my piece please make sure you go and check out what Nadya made using this selection of beads and goodies that I sent her:

And of course all the other beautiful creations that have been created for this AWESOME Bead Soup!!!  A total of 362 wonderful artisans participated - you don't want to miss a single one!!!
These are the partner pairs.

The Hostess, Lori Anderson and her partner, Manuela Wutschke

Fun new resin...

Made a few more resin charms - with my go to sterling bezels from Rings & Things  - perfect assortment of sizes and so affordable.  Of course I used a few Piddix images - they are so pretty....how can I not use them.  Then I tried to make my own - altered a letter S that I took out of my middle son's old hand writing book (stamped and inked over the top) - the image sealant didn't work too good so the ink bleed - but I still like it.  I also used just some plain old pieces of patterned paper - so many cool prints out there - loved the colors.
And check out those 2 AMAZING bezels????  I have been drooling over Susan Lenart Kazmer's bezels since I first discovered them.....I finally bit the bullet and purchased a couple - they are even more wonderful than I thought they would be.  Just GORGEOUS!!!

Large Moss Agate, Green Opal Chalcedony, Rough Cut Chrysocolla, Aqua Terra Jasper,
Handmade Sterling Silver, Thai and Bali silver
It reminds me of this photo I took summer of 2010 at Glacier Park of Avalanche Creek.
What a beautiful place!!

Custom Pieces

A customer sent me a broken necklace - which was basically a single strand of beads - and asked me to work my magic....:)....complete creative freedom!!  So nice to be fully trusted.  I went with brass in one set and silver in one set - giving her a choice.  She loved both and is sending me another necklace of matching beads to work into necklaces to match these sets.  Awesome!!
Here they are - what do you think?

Jewelry Redo Swap

I recently joined a very fun jewelry swap hosted by the very talented Lori Anderson.  Concept:  if you have a piece of jewelry that hasn't sold yet - pass it on to a fellow jewelry artisan and they use the components to make something new.....Fun right????  VERY!!!

My partner is Mallory Hoffman - she spoiled me!!!  I got two pieces - two beautiful necklaces.  Can I just say I felt a tad guilty (OK A LOT guilty) deconstructing her pieces - which were beautiful!  Take a look:

See I told you beautiful!  BUT in the spirit of the game :) - I jumped in and created LOTS of fun new pieces for my jewelry collection!!  It was easy to be inspired by the wonderful colors and textures of her components!

And I didn't stop there - I added coordinating pieces for a fun new set

AND.....I still have many adds and end left to make more beautiful pieces of jewelry!  How fun!!!

Thank you so much Lori for hosting this fun swap.

Mallory - a HUGE thank you to you for spoiling me with your beautiful creations....I love what they added to my collection!
